Substantive Changes with the Accrediting Commission – Pam Examples of Substantive Changes: – Location – Addition of or transfer of programs to new or different buildings – Type of school – Change in ownership or control – Opening a branch – Change in mission Task Force # 1

 Addition of courses or programs that represent a significant departure, in terms of either the content or method of delivery, from those that were offered when the institution was most recently evaluated; Addition of courses in programs at a degree or credential level above that included in the current accreditation –Change in clock hours –Substantial increase in the number of clock or credit hours awarded for successful completion of a program or an increase in the length of a program

n Faculty – number and type; analysis of the impact that the proposed program or change will have on faculty workload, including teaching, research, and scholarship; full-time, part-time balance n Student support services n Library and electronic information n Technology n Physical resources n Financial resources – Assessment of the financial viability and sustainability of the program including start-up costs and how covered and 3 – 5 year budget projection
