The UK is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, which is comprised of 4 distinct parts – England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland The UK is smaller than the US state of Oregon The nature of an English (wo)man As in the US, central tendencies in the UK favor individualistic leanings; achievement and individual initiative are valued The British tendency is toward direct, low-context speech patterns
