Lego Mindstorms nxt 2.0 By Thomas Deeprose

Lego Mindstorms  Mindstorms is a cool robot. The new mindstorms is NXT  2.0. It is £ from or  It is made by Lego and has a cool motor design. There is a website you can use it is called Then go to products and Mindstorm. There are pages about what is in the box, projects built by fans, movies, news, the mindstorm community and a funzone.  It is designed for use by people aged 9 upwards. It is even being used by people on college courses.

Contents Mindstorms is made up of:

 about 600 lego technic pieces  1 ultrasonic sensor  1 colour sensor  2 touch sensors

Mindstorms is made up of:  3 motors  1 NXT micro-computer control unit  7 connector cables  User guide and CD rom

Nxt projects The mindstorms box comes with one project in an instruction leaflet and the other projects are on DVD.

Shooter bot  The first project is the shooter bot. It can shoot coloured balls anywhere. It uses colour sensors and the micro computer. It is easy to  build.  the ultrasonic and

Colour sorter  Colour sorter  Colour sorter is a robot. It sorts coloured balls in to the right place. You can modify it to shoot the balls at things.

Alpha rex  Alpha rex  Alpha Rex is the ultimate robot ever.  It has moving hands, arms and moving legs as well. It has an ultrasonic sensor so it can pick up and let go of the ball.

Robogator  Robogator  Robogator is an alligator.  It can move back and forward. It can bite things and wag its tail. It has 3 motors and 1 ultrasonic sensor.
