Tribe Traditions  They respected one another and believed in karma.  The Anasazi liked to make pottery.  The Anasazi liked to make dolls.

What they ate The Anasazi liked to farm, they farmed corn, beans and squash. The Anasazi also gathered wild berries. The Anasazi Tribe were also hunters their favorite animals to hunt were rabbit, mice and bison.

Where They Lived The Anasazi lived in the four corners region, the Colorado plateau region, Southern Utah, Northern Arizona, northwest New Mexico. The Anasazi lived in cliff dwellings.

How they dressed The Anasazi wore turkey feather robes and string aprons. They did wear ornaments made out of shells, bone and stone. The dress was similar to the pueblo Indians.

Famous People

Contributions Š The Anasazi left behind cliff dwellings. Š The Anasazi left behind their clothes. Š Thea Anasazi left behind the dream catcher they where the ones to make it.

How big was the tribe? Even an approximate number not known the population was greatest when farming was going well, during drought conditions the population declined. Eventually drought caused them to move to a distant smaller settlements.

Extra Information In Navajo Anasazi means ancient enemy, the decedents of the Anasazi the Pueblo Indians considered Anasazi as an insult.
