Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire is one of my favorite books! I wrote an essay called Stem Cell Research. I could not believe Lady Gaga’s performance of Paparazzi on the MTV Video Music Awards. I can’t wait to see New Moon in November!
Another reason that we use quotation marks is to indicate the direct speech or writing of someone. When doing this, there are several rules to follow: Always tell who said/wrote the quote! You may either introduce or conclude a quote with the source. After your introduction, put a comma. If you are quoting a complete sentence, capitalize the first letter inside the quotation marks. Always place end marks INSIDE the quotation marks. For example: According to Theodore Roosevelt, “What is to give light must endure the burning.” “What is to give light must endure the burning,” said Theodore Roosevelt.
