 San Viator is a social agent that assumes the task of educating and training to help to the insertion of those people in risk of social exclusion.  With the teamwork and everybody’s collaboration we can reach the social integration of those youngsters, between 16-20, mentally disabled, as well as their integration in the labour market.

 We promote common spaces for all of our students.  We try to involve as many teachers as possible in SAT and other educational levels  We try to help to the mentally disabled youngsters to integrate into the Vocational system.  We try to reach proper training at regular workplace for our students.

 It is a process of teaching and training that starts at 16 (just after Secondary Compulsory Education) and finishes at 19/20. With a maximum of 4 academic years.  It is aimed to those youngsters with special learning necessities derived from different cognitive disabilities that provokes them problems to reach the basic educational aims.  It is focused on bringing the educational system closer to the labour market, helping them with “the transitional period to adult life".  It is oriented to the design of a “personal plan for the transitional period to adult life”.  The concept "transitional period" involves to bring the following necessities closer ◦ Educational necessities ◦ Social necessities ◦ Working necessities ◦ Leisure time necessities  It tries to establish proper systems aiming to help the youngsters in their transition to adult life.  It is based on the cooperation of the different social agents, that must include: the youngster, his/her family, the school, the social community services and the employers.
