Success With your partner, spend some time coming up with a definition on success. What defines a successful life? Give specific examples of success. Write this down. It will be a part of your speech.

Your interview Look at your interview notes. If you didn’t do the interview, I will not let you in the lab until it is done. This means you will have to do all the work OUTSIDE Of CLASS. I will only let students in the lab who care about the last days of their free education. Why did you pick this person to interview? How does this person fit your definition of success? Write stuff down as you talk. You will include this stuff in your speech. You need at least two direct quotes from the person you interviewed.

Lead the Field Principles According to your notes on Lead the Field and your interview notes, HOW does this person embody the principles of Lead the Field? You will break your speech up into the four parts: – The Magic Word---attitude – Acres of Diamonds---making the most of opportunities – Worthy Destination---setting goals – Miracle of the Mind---using the mind Write stuff down as you talk things out. You will need to have specific instances to speak about.

Lessons Learned Based on your notes and interview, what lessons have you learned from this person and/or these lectures that you will SPECIFICALLY apply to your life; how will you do this? Be specific.
