How do E-clubs work? E-club meetings are hosted on a unique web site. The Rotary E-Club of District 7250 address is: RotaryEClubLongIslandOne.Net

How do E-clubs work? The official meeting time is considered to be when the Web Administrator posts material for weekly discussion, but members may access the site at their convenience at any point during the week. The Rotary E-Club of District 7250 posts the meetings Sunday mornings at 8:45 A.M. and the material is available until 8:44 A.M. the following Sunday.

How do E-clubs work? E-club members discuss the item and any other club business online. To respect the privacy of E-club members, some meeting content or member data is protected from public view.

What is a Rotary E-Club? Rotary E-clubs were approved by the Council on Legislation in Rotary E-clubs do exactly the same things as traditional Rotary clubs. Except they meet on the Internet 24 x 7 The Council on Legislation passed item 04-18, in 2004, “to allow attendance credit for thirty- minute uninterrupted interactive club web site activity.”

Who participates in E-clubs? Business, professional, and community leaders who are unable to attend a weekly meeting in person, the E-club option offers the opportunity to meet, conduct service projects, and participate in Rotary fellowship.

Regular Rotarian Make-Up Opportunity From time to time, Rotarians who miss their regular Rotary club meeting may make up a meeting by attending an E-club meeting online, a valuable service for all members. Please publicize this opportunity in your club bulletins. Thank you!

Who participates in E-clubs? As of August 2010, 360 Rotarians located in 30 countries are E-club members. Of these, 146 had previously been members of Rotary clubs, including past district governors.

E-club membership requirement Membership in an e-club requires a basic Internet skills set, including the ability to navigate web sites with ease.

What are the policies for E-clubs? Rotary E-clubs are considered by the RI Board to be worldwide. While each E-club is assigned to a district, members can come from any country or geographical area where Rotary maintains a presence. The Council of Legislation of 2013 revised the provision for locality to be either regional or worldwide.

What are the technical requirements? Because the meeting venue is on a website, E-clubs must have: A dedicated web site Online meeting software to host a meeting Private sections of the web site that protect members’ online personal data that only members can access Online financial transaction systems for dues payments from members, contributions, and remittances. E-clubs are responsible for all costs associated with maintaining a web site address and hosting their web site on the Internet
