Santa Anna Acrostic Poem By Ambria Siska

S--Supported Emperor Agustin de Iturbide When Santa Anna was a young Military officer he supported Emperor Agustin de Iturbide and the decisions he made.

A—At one point he “courted” the Emperor’s daughter. He dated the Emperor’s daughter. LOL. I don’t know why I find that funny.

N—kNown for as a ruthless opponent against the British

T—The dominant figure in Mexican Politics.

A—After he returned to Mexico he participated in the Mexican War and sold Territory to the U.S.

A—made A promise to untie the nation when he became President in 1833.

N—Nation was in chaos Soon after he promised to unite the Nation, it broke into total chaos. They had 36 changes of Presidency in a few short months, and Santa Anna 11 times.

N—Needed a better reputation. Santa Anna made a lot of mistakes during his presidencies. Like, in his first term, he got bored and left all the work to his Vice President.

A—United States took Advantage of the “turmoil” following the Mexican-American War.

THE END !! Hope you enjoyed !
