Your Project: Create one HUMP mold platter, bowl or plate with feet and handle(s) (slab or coils/designs draped over) Create one SLUMP mold platter, bowl or plate with feet and handle(s) (slab or coils/designs pressed into) Mold projects can have the same theme (series), or different themes. Must include an interesting texture or design/pattern through addition or subtraction of clay that enhances the overall design Size: Nothing bigger than a pottery wheel bat If you finish early, you can choose to create lids, or possibly another molded piece of your choosing (same size requirements) (You will be glazing these molds with dinnerware-safe glazes)

Large slab pressed into or onto a form (edges cut away) Small slab hearts layered and pressed into a bowl to create a slump mold Coils/slab strips pressed into/onto a form     

(shallow compared to a bowl) This would have been made as a HUMP mold. You can tell because all the additive pieces are on the outside.    This is a platter (shallow compared to a bowl)

Check out those handles!

Which do you like? Clean and modern or ornate and detailed?
