2 General City Services Internal Services  Generally provide service to City government  Accounting, Finance, Revenue collection, IT, Purchasing, HR, Payroll – Shared services – Opportunities for privatization/contracting where not involve City-sensitive data or core services

3 General City Services External Services  Generally provide service to citizens  Following ranked in general order of city provides the service/rationale – Police, Fire, EMS, Courts (public safety) – Development planning (community’s future) – Licensing and Permitting (regulatory) – Public works (maintain city infrastructure/assets) Street repair and maintenance, snow removal Lighting Storm water Equipment and maintenance
