At Toshiba Heat treatment of dummy rDP was completed; Winding of the 1 st DP is being performed at Toshiba. 3.Plan for 2015 Series production will be continued at MHI and TOSHIBA. TF Coil (1/7)

TF Coil (2/7) Dummy DPs fabrication at MHI Dummy sDP after CP welding Dummy rDP after DP insulation CP welding of dummy rDP and sDP was completed. Flatness of dummy rDP after CP welding was better than +/-1 mm. DP insulation of dummy rDP was completed with +/-1 mm flatness. Preparation of DP impregnation is being performed.

TF Coil (3/7) Dummy DP fabrication at TOSHIBA Dummy rDP after conductor winding Dummy rDP after heat treatment Deviation of conductor length of the winding for dummy rDP was smaller than the target value of 100 ppm. Heat treatment of conductor winding for dummy rDP was successfully completed with a problem. Measurement of conductor elongation due to heat treatment is underway.

TF Coil (4/7) Accuracy of the groove length of fabricated RP of TF01 was better than the target value of +/-0.01%. RP6 of JA TF coil No.1 (TF12) The following work in the RP series production was completed by May 2015: - Fabrication of 70 segments (7 RPs) for TF01, - Fabrication of 70 segments (7 RPs) for TF02, - Fabrication of 4 segments for TF03, - Fabrication of 32 segments for TF04, - Fabrication of 1 complete RP for TF01. RP fabrication for series production at MHI

TF Coil (5/7) Winding of DPs for series production at MHI The conductor winding for series production was started in March 2013, and the winding of seven DPs for TF coil No.1 and two DPs for TF coil No.2 was successfully completed by May DP6 of JA TF coil No.1 (TF12) (Regular DP) DP7 of JA TF coil No.1 (TF12) (Side DP)

TF Coil (6/7) Heat treatment of DPs for series production at MHI The heat treatment for series production was started in August 2013, and the heat treatment of seven DPs for TF coil No.1 was successfully completed by April Conductor elongation due to heat treatment are 0.06%~0.07%, which are within the expected value of /- 0.02%. The final dimension of RP was decided based on the measured conductor length after heat treatment and the final assembly is being carried out.

TF Coil (7/7) Winding of DP for series production at TOSHIBA Conductor winding for series production was started in May P layer of winding of the first DP for TF coil No.3 was completed. Difference in the conductor length between the design and the result is smaller than 0.005%. Target ±0.01%

1.Credit Total: kIUA for 19 sets (changed at IC-15) EU contribution: kIUA (54.922%) Transferred contribution: kIUA 2.Present Status of the Procurement Activities All contracts were made: TFCS #12, 13, 8, 2, 19 (JA 1, 2, 4, 6, 9) with MHI TFCS #10, 7, 16, 15 (JA 3, 5, 7, 8) with Toshiba TFCS #11, 9, 6, 4 (EU 1, 2, 3, 4) with HHI TFCS #5, 3, 1, 18, 17, 14 (EU 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) with Toshiba At MHI and HHI the manufacturing of the 1 st TFCS and series production is underway.
