 The Trail of Tears  Indian Removal Act  Cherokee’s from Georgia were forced from their homes and marched to Oklahoma  1,000 mile expedition  Over 4,000 Cherokee died en route

 Nez Perce War  US government takes back 7.5 million acres of Nez Perce land  Nez Perce retreat for help to fight for their land  Stopped at Snake Creek, start of the 5 day battle of the Nez Perce war “I am tired; my heart is sick and sad.
