Food/Water On this slide, you can see pictures of different kinds of foods for each kind of pet. For dogs and cats, their foods are sometimes wet or dry. Small animals like hamsters, rats, guinea pigs, and other small pets eat food blocks or vegetables. Fish and other creatures that live in water eat food pellets. Birds eat seeds and small insects. All pets need plenty of fresh water every day. Dog Food Bird Seed Cat Food Reptile Food Bird Food Small Animal Food

Exercise/Love All animals need exercise, both people and pets. Reptiles like to hang out on your shoulder or to wander around your room, but you will need to keep an eye on them. Playing with your cats and dogs gives them exercise. Hamsters, gerbils, mice, other small pets can get exercise in their cages if they have a playground in their cage. Rats, guinea pigs and birds can be active so you will need to keep the doors and windows of your room closed. Fish and other water creatures get exercise swimming around their tanks and usually do not need special equipment. Most pets love to be loved. When you play with your pets, it makes them feel happy. When you tell them that they are good, they feel happy. Always tell them that you love them. Loving a pet will make life much better because it will make your heart feel happy and also make your pet feel safe having a family to live with and love them. Exercise is good for pets Our pets need love and attention.

Grooming Grooming means keeping your pets neat and clean. Your pets and your parents will be happier if you keep your pets and where they live clean. Some pets will do a good job of keeping themselves clean like cats and rats. Guinea pigs and small pets including hamsters do not need a bath. Some animals, especially with long hair, will need to be brushed. Some will need to have their toe nails clipped, but you should probably get your parents to help with this. Keeping your animal’s cage or bed clean will keep them from smelling bad. Giving a haircutCutting nails Getting clean Shampoo
