TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD FINAL EXAM

DIRECTIONS: Grab a computer and log on. Go to my website and click on “English II” Under “Important Documents/Handouts” click “To Kill a Mockingbird Final Essay” You pick ONE of the options (there are five). Pay close attention to the additional documents assigned to your prompt – use those as references! This will be graded using our adapted common core rubric (under “Rubrics” in Important Documents)

ESSAY REQUIREMENTS Each essay must: Contain a claim/thesis statement Have an introduction and a conclusion Remember, introductions start broad and then end with your claim/thesis statement Conclusions tie up your essay and pose a thought for the reader to contemplate later Be 4-5 paragraphs in length Contain AT LEAST one piece of textual evidence per body paragraph WITH PAGE NUMBER Zero pages numbers = a zero Analyze the textual evidence to the fullest extent Be free of grammatical and punctuation errors
