Objectives We are going to explore the following questions: 1.What will the children get from using picture books? 2.What are we trying to achieve by using them? 3.HOW can we use them? 4.Where can we get them from?

3) How can we use them? As a treat, to develop general listening skills To encourage reading for pleasure, as a class or individually To tell a story in assembly To teach vocabulary To teach grammar To encourage speaking To develop writing skills As a basis to arts and crafts activities
