TAILORED TRAINING FOR PROFESSIONALS IN THE RURAL TOURIST SECTOR Activities carried out 20 November 2006 – 20 June 2007

Activities Organization of the meeting with CIA Translation of documents Elaboration of the data from the interviews Elaboration of the national report on the specific training needs of the tourist sector in Tuscany rural environments Organization of the Focus Group Elaboration of training material according to the Fenicia Methodology Dissemination

Organization of the meeting with CIA Pixel organized a meeting the Italian support partner (CIA) in order to plan the activities for the following months. The meeting took place on the 10 January and focused on: the national report on the specific training needs of the tourist sector in Tuscany rural environments, the dissemination activities, the focus group.

Translation of documents Andrea Perlado took care of the translation (from English to Italian) of the documents related to the project: brochure of the project, web site contents, questionnaire for the need analysis, etc …

Collection of data from rural operatores CIA in collaboration with Pixel contacted and interviewed more then 20 rural operators in order to collect data for the Need Analysis at Italian level.

Elaboration of the data from the interviews Pixel elaborated the data collected from the interviews to the tourist sector in order to get tables and graphs that clearly show the results of the need analysis.

Elaboration of the national report on the specific training needs of the tourist sector in Tuscany rural environments Pixel with the support of CIA elaborated part of the national report on the specific training needs of the tourist sector in Tuscany rural environments. The report had the following index: Tuscany and its rural areas Tuscany and tourism Strategies of public participation in the rural tourism Specific training needs detected Conclusion

Organization of the Focus Group On the 28th of May 2007 Pixel and CIA organised a conference concerning the training experiences and the training needs of the agritourism in Tuscany. The participants in the round table were: Elisa Simoni: Town Concillor for Education and Training of the Province of Florence Alessandra Alberti: President of CIPAT, Tuscany Rural Development Department Elisabetta Delle Donne: President of Pixel Sandro Piccinini: President of CIA

Organization of the Focus Group Elisabetta Delle Donne presented the FORESTUR project to more than 20 people, who attended the conference. Lorenzo Martellini (National Italian coordinator) presented the results of the training needs analysis conducted in the four countries partner of the project. A great interest was shown by the participants of the conference.

Dissemination 11th November 2006 Elisabetta Delle Donne made a Power Point presentation of Pixel activities during the Kick off meeting of the European project “The Learning Game”. The meeting took place in Florence.

Dissemination 7 th November 2006 Elisabetta Delle Donne during the ”8th edition of the European Project Planning and Management” training course that took place in Florence described Pixel’s activities and referred to the Forestur project.
