Today Our Roles and how they developed The status of Specialist Support The Provision at the present time Ofsted The FdA Inclusive Practice Future Developments

Context 2006 Context for developing Specialist Support…….complex and varied LDD requiring specialist knowledge. Key Factors: Training and qualifications to underpin existing experience of support staff. FdA Inclusive Practice developed for Autism and Behaviour as the 2 specialisms, in the first instance.

FdA Inclusive Practice 120 credits at Level 1 in year credits at Level 2 in year 2. 6 modules are studied at Level 1, all of which are mandatory. Year 1 – Level Credit modules Introduction to Education Policy and Disability Equality Thinking and Learning Supporting Professional Practice Behaviour for Learning Voice of the Learner Contributing to the support of People with Autistic Spectrum Conditions

Year 2 In year 2 select from optional modules in : Autism, Spld and Behaviour for Learning (B4L). Supporting people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions Understanding Learners with Literacy Difficulties Supporting Professional Practice Independent Study – choose from Autism, Spld or Behaviour for Learning Working in Partnership; Parents and Professionals Contributions to Social Cohesion and Well Being in Educational Settings Year 3 BA Hons
