The Bermuda Railway A Little Bit of Our Transportation History Picture by Erica Hamburg 2006

Did you know that long ago trains were a popular form of transportation in Bermuda? You have probably heard about the railway trail and may have even walked along a few of them? What do you know about the Bermuda Railway? Directions: 1.Click on this link to visit the Bermuda Railway Trail website. See what facts you and your partner you can discover to make your slides more informative and interesting. Use the organizer to keep on track. First you must identify the location of the scene in the picture. Where is it? Then add information about these scenes using your own words. Think who, what, where, when, why, how. 2.Once the content is completed, you can add graphics and effects to enhance your slides. Save your work with your name. 3.To share your presentation, decide on a script that you will use to describe your pictures and help people learn more about the Bermuda Railway. Be prepared to answer questions following the presentation. 4.For bonus points: Reorder the slides to reflect the train route from east to west. Discuss with your partner, the differences between transportation in Bermuda then (1900’s) and now. What are the major transportation challenges today? Can you think of any solutions?
