Because of this, you and your family can receive services from an ophthalmologist, optometrist, independent optician or one of our many optical chains. Flexibility is the name of the game. You are also not obligated to receive all of your services from one location. You can have your exam at an independent MD or OD, and then take your prescription to one of the optical chains and buy your materials, such as your eyeglasses or contacts. We provide services through in-network and out-of network providers; however, if your provider is not listed in our network, we have a process for nominating them. You can complete the Provider Nomination form on our website, send it to us, and we will gladly work with your provider to try and get them into our network. You can always see a provider out-of-network, but keep in mind that there will be more out-of-pocket expenses should you do so.. You can choose between MDs and ODs to get your eye exam.
