Global warming refers to a continuing rise in the average temperature of Earth's climate system,90% of the warming has occurred in the oceans but is also used to refer to increases in average temperature of the air and sea at Earth's surface. What is global warming? The present warming is generally attributed to an increase in the greenhouse effect, brought about by increased levels of gases like CO2, due to the effects of human industry and agriculture.
-Carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuel burning power plants. -Carbon dioxide emissions from burning gasoline for transportation. -Deforestation, especially tropical forests for wood, pulp, and farmland. -Increase in usage of chemical fertilizers on croplands. Causes of global warming?
The greenhouse effect is a process by which thermal radiation from a planetary surface is absorbed by atmospheric gases, and is re-radiated in all directions. This produces an elevation of the average surface temperature above what it would be in the absence of the gases. What is greenhouse effect? Earth’s natural greenhouse effect makes life as we know it possible. However, human activities have intensified the natural greenhouse effect, causing global warming
GLOBAL WARMING Is the increase of the Earth’s average surface temperature due to a build-up of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Difference between “global warming” and “climate change”? CLIMATE CHANGE Is a broader term that refers to long-term changes in climate, including average temperature and precipitation.
- Widespread extinction of species. - Massive crop failures. - Melting of the Glaciers. - More hurricanes. Consequences of global warming. - Rise in sea levels worldwide.
Global warming is one of the biggest problems facing the world today. There are several things we can do to solve the problem of global warming. One solution is to stop producing energy through oil and coal. Other solution is to use less energy and to recycle more products. Generating electricity is one of the main sources of carbon dioxide. If we use less electricity, we will produce less C02, and the last option is to plant more trees. 6. Conclusion and personal opinion
