Objectives 1) Centralize all infrastructure responsibilities. 2) Select common (standard) hardware, software and service providers. 3) Implement virtual office concepts to enhance mobility and productivity. 4) Develop a strategic approach to web portal delivery. 5) Develop a common disaster recovery plan. 6) Centralize development, maintenance and support of common business applications 7) Revamp the technology procurement process.

Expected Results Reduced Costs Improved Customer Satisfaction Increased System and Network Reliability Enhanced end-user mobility Reduced Risks

State’s vision for GIS  Not in scope of current consolidation plans  Support a strong GIS Coordination Organization  Report status of key initiatives and priorities to the Office of Technology

GIS Coordination Organization  Promote data sharing across all levels of government and private segments  More promotion, communication and education of state and local leaders on the value of GIS  Coordinate and prioritize GIS initiatives to avoid duplications and maximize the spend. Report to the OOT on a regular basis.
