Christmas time never has a dull moment! It goes all the way to eating to sledding We are one big Family! White Elephant gifts are always fun!

Christmas is Fun For Everyone The White Elephant Gift is for the adults. Kids are being crazy and running around. Everyone is talking at once. Kids have a gift exchange also. We are all excited to see each other.

Christmas with the Eggers is no ordinary Christmas. We are one large bunch that loves to eat. Everyone has there favorite dish Mine happens to be Pasticcio Dessert The girls are always by the food. We never want to stop eating. Ideas and Appetites

After we have a little food we like to open our presents. If you have not yet graduated you get a present by someone who drew your name. If you are graduated we do a white elephant gift. If there is snow on the ground we usually will go sledding if not we play some games. Playing games is always fun with Aunt Jeanne. Ideas and Appetites (cont.)

What is a White Elephant Gift? The game we play for the white elephant gift. Everyone brings a present from your house (can be ugly or cute). We sit at a table and have to dice. Someone goes first and if they draw a double set of numbers they get to pick a present and open it. Once everyone has a present the real fun begins.

What is a White Elephant Gift? (cont.) We set a time for how long we go. If you have a gift you really want that someone else has you can steal it from them only if you have a double when you roll u can take it. When the timer is up you get what you get and you don’t throw a fit. This year I was in the drawing and I got a digital photo frame. On the other hand my cousin got some ugly plates.

I have a big family with a variety of age numbers. It goes from age 81 years old to age 1. My grandpa Van is 81 and my Cousin Andrew is 1. I have 3 aunts, 15 first cousins (counting their husband and wife), and 12 2 nd Cousins. And of course my two sisters, parents and grandparents! All on my moms side. What Big Family You Have

We are Thankful Christmas is a time for my family to be happy and thankful that we are together another year. We are all glad to see each other. My family is close considering we all live near Tekamah, but it is nice to see everyone that comes to our holidays in one big house.

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! From the Eggers.
