What you’ll need 2 ½ cups of all – purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1 cup granulated sugar 2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1 cup of butter or margarine (room temp) 1 package of chocolate chips 1 to 2 cups of chopped walnuts (optional)
Step 1 – Preheat your oven to 375°F Step 2 – Sift flour, baking soda and salt into a large bowl. Step 3 – Add sugar, vanilla eggs & butter to the same bowl. Step 4 – STIR with a electric hand held mixer for about 1 minute.
Add & stir in the chocolate chips & nuts if using. Put a spoonful of the batter onto an ungreased baking sheet. Be sure the cookies are about 2 inches apart on the baking sheet. Bake from 10 to 12 minutes. When finished let the cookies cool for about 5 minutes.
