The Story of Great Britain and the Colonists By: Grace Watwood and Aline Grace

The French and Indian War The Britain and the French were fighting over land. The British and the French fought for 10 years. The British win the war. The British become in debt with an amount that would equal 30 billion dollars today.

The Proclamation of 1763 After the French and Indian War, many colonists moved west into the land that Britain had. Great Britain protects the colonists from the Native Americans. The colonists were forbidden to go west of the Appalachian Mountains.

The Quartering Act Great Britain sent soldiers to protect colonist. The colonist had to support the soldiers with clothing, food, and letting them live in their house. The colonists did not like to support the soldiers.
