Shelby Dickinson. IMMIGRATION TO TEXAS PROJECT.

 Immigration occurs everywhere. In Texas, all kinds of immigrants migrated to Texas due to the supply of resources.  In this PowerPoint, you will see the effects of immigration and the causes of people moving across the country. INTRODUCTION.

 Immigration is when people come to America from another country other than the U.S. People immigrate to all places, usually along the coast because it is by the water.  Migration is when people move from one place to another, such as from one country to another. LANGUAGE OF DISCIPLINE.

 These immigrants originally came from Mexico.  They founded the towns of San Antonio & El Paso.  They were not being treated fairly. Some say Americans took the land away from the Mexicans who were not familiar with the court system.  They continue to have a strong influence on the economy, art, culture, and language. MEXICAN TEXANS.

 German Texans who immigrated originally came from Germany.  They helped settle the towns of present-day New Braunfels and Fredericksburg.  Germans made up the largest number of settlers in Texas.  They now have an impact on the art, culture, and economy of Texas. GERMAN TEXANS.

 The Native Texans already lived in the state of Texas, so they never had to immigrate from foreign countries.  They settled in areas which are now Young County & Throckmorton County.  Most Native Texans were not a concern, yet later on they were forced to move out of the state.  Their culture has a huge impact due to the area in which they settled and our art today. NATIVE TEXANS.

 English settlers originally came from England and then immigrated to Texan for a better life.  Towns such as Frisco were settled by the English settlers.  Life in Texas was difficult for the English immigrants. They were treated poorly and did not think it was fair.  The English settlers have had a huge impact on out lives today, like out language, culture, and art. ENGLISH SETTLERS IN TEXAS.

 This process of immigration is similar to staying somewhere else out of town. For example, if you were going to stay in Seattle, then that would be somewhat like immigration. You would be the “immigrant” who is moving to another “country” because that is not where your home is on a regular basis. TRENDS.
