Dear Mahopac Middle School

In 2009, Project Gaia received many donations…

Guess what our largest donation was….

$300

We thought we did a lot with that money.

1 15 families did not have to walk for miles to gather wood.

Hundreds of trees were saved.

Kids like you could go to school. They could play with their friends.

Mothers did not spend hours cooking & coughing over smoky stoves.

Families could finally get rid of that smoky, polluting stove.

We prevented 255 tons of CO 2 emissions from entering the atmosphere.

Yeah, we were pretty pleased with 2009.

Until we met you.

You more than QUADRUPLED that number!

You reached 70 families.

We cannot thank you enough.

The people who you helped want to thank you.

They have time for school…

Instead of collecting wood, they can play with their friends.

There are women living with AIDS who want to thank you.

Their new stove helps keep them healthy.

Women have much more time….. They are getting jobs & making money.

These stoves are safe & clean. People are breathing clean air.

How do you measure the gift of clean air?

By being healthy.

We only have one earth. It looks different depending on where you are.

You preserved the environment by saving 1190 tons of CO 2 equivalent emissions!

We are all in this together.

And we can’t say it enough… Thank you Mahopac Middle School.

We are singing and dancing for you in Ethiopia.

Thank you for inspiring us.

We want to share your experience with others… on our new website!

Thank you for helping us teach others.

We cannot wait to give out these new stoves…
