Sea Turtles By Laila Swafford

What is the Animal Group? They are in the reptiles group. They have scaly skin. They need shade and sun.

What do turtles eat ? Sea turtles eat clams and jellyfish.

Where do sea turtles live ? They live in all the oceans but not the cold water.

How do they stay alive ? They use their bony shell to protect their body. They use their flippers to swim fast.

Wow Factors! The mom goes on land to lay her eggs. The babies go to the same beach to lay their eggs. They remember the same beach where they where born.

The lifecycle The mother goes to the beach. She lays her eggs in the sand. The babies hatch and then go to the ocean. They are adults now.
