Warm and Cold Blooded Animals Miss Johnson 4 th Grade

Does is mean that the animals blood is warm?

Keep the same body temperature, no matter what the temperature is like around them. In the winter And the summer Their body temperature stays the same.

Sweating

shivering

Does this mean that their blood is cold?

Cannot control their body temperature. If they are outside and it is hot, their body temperature becomes warm. If they are outside and it is cold, their body temperature drops.

Fish who live in areas where the winters are cold move to deeper waters during the colder months or move to warmer waters.

When it is cold, a cold-blooded animal is not very active. It usually buries itself in the ground so it does not get cold. partially frozen frog will stop breathing, and its heart will stop beating. It will appear quite dead. But when it warms up above freezing, the frog's frozen portions will thaw, and its heart and lungs resume activity
