Today’s Art!

Step 1: Creating the Tree Example!  I created a shrinking pattern, starting at the bottom of my tree and deciding how many hand prints I need to build my Christmas tree shape. My shrinking pattern: start at ___, subtract 1 handprint each time.  My handprint Christmas tree takes up a majority of the canvas, but leaves enough room for a star and the tree trunk.  I carefully dipped my hand in the green paint and created a handprint shaped Christmas tree.

Step 2:  I washed my hands and dried them.  I filled out my time capsule sheet, taking my time and making sure it is neat.  I handed in my completed time capsule to Ms. Shepherd to check over.

Step 3: Creating the Christmas Lights Example!Steps:  I created Christmas tree lights by carefully dipping my FINGERS into the paint and pushing them flat on the canvas.

Final Step…  I added a brown tree trunk underneath the Christmas tree.  I added a gold star on the top of the tree. Once it dries:  I connected the fingerprint lights with black marker.  I glued my time capsule sheet onto the back
