Literature for Little Ones FASC State Project Instituted by West Florida High School

What is it? Literature for Little Ones is a project geared towards promoting reading among today's youth and to increase the literacy rate in the state of Florida.

Why Literacy? 23% of adults in the state of Florida experience literacy issues which impact their family. Literacy is one of the most basic skills needed to succeed in academic studies and a career. Young readers are shown to make better grades and more money as adults.

Project Ideas Book drives “Adopting” a local elementary school or daycare and reading to the children there. Volunteering through a local or state literacy program. Fund raising and donating proceeds to a literacy-based charity.
