EuroPsy is the European qualification standard for psychologists; EuroPsy supplements national standards and helps the public to identify whether a psychologist can be considered competent to practice in a particular area; EuroPsy is awarded to psychologists who meet a list of educational and professional requirements; EuroPsy is being implemented throughout Europe as from 2010; EuroPsy has been established by the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (EFPA). A two-level certificate  Basic: upon entering the profession.  Specialist: by following additional specialist education and supervised practice psychologists can become qualified as specialists. Currently recognized Specialist Certificates: Psychotherapy Work and Organizational Psychology Holders of the EuroPsy certificate are listed in a Register. ICOPE ‘14, Flagstaff August 2-6

A two-level awarding agency  NAC (S-NAC): the National awarding committee The awarding of the EuroPsy within a country will be carried out by a National Awarding Committee that is appointed by the national Member Association of EFPA. The NAC will be approved by the EAC.  EAC (S-EAC): the European awarding committee The European Awarding Committee is responsible for oversight of the EuroPsy and its Regulations and for ensuring that the Registration and award of the EuroPsy occurs in accordance with these Regulations. EuroPsy future objectives  EuroPsy long-term purpose is to secure the development of psychology as a profession.  Objectives for the next few years are: Wide-spread adoption of EuroPsy certificates Harmonization of professional ethics trough a European Model Code of ethics Recognition of EuroPsy standards in the context of the European Qualifications Directive  Later, certification may be extended to academic curricula, supervision, training courses, CPD programs, etc. ICOPE ‘14, Flagstaff August 2-6

Issues  Improve the flexibility of EuroPsy in terms of both the education and the training process;  Need to revise and up-date learning outcomes, possibly in the frame of the Dublin Descriptors (Knowledge & understanding; Applying knowledge & understanding; Making judgements; Communication; Learning skills) ;  Identify which info are needed/relevant for the Register; ICOPE ‘14, Flagstaff August 2-6
