Writing with Feeling Goal: To explore a published author’s tone and diction

Close your eyes Think of an event about which or during which you felt a strong emotion. Create a cluster of Words and phrases related to that emotional event. event

Quickwrite Write for a few minutes describing the reasons for the strong emotion during the event. Use some of the words and phrases from your cluster.
