Parents as Partners  Supporting families to feel welcome, valued and respected  Sharing information about the setting and the curriculum  Sharing information about children’s learning and development  Helping parents to support learning and development at home  Consulting with parents  Parents being involved and contributing to the setting. Marte Meo From our own strengths  Needed a common language across our 3 services 16 staff trained together  Supporting parent/child interactions  Staff need to be able to recognise a quality interaction  Staff need to be able to model quality interactions

Aistear  Introduced parents to journey books and linked learning to Aistear  Weekend suggestions board with links to Aistear  Parents survey currently being analysed as part of ongoing action research  Staff training in documentation and assessment
