LONG TERM EFFECTS: PSYCHOLOGICAL ADDICTION IMPAIRED MEMORY LOW MOTIVATION LUNG OR ORAL CANCER

OVERDOSE NO SINGLE USE OF MARIJUANA WILL CAUSE AN OVERDOSE. LIKE TOBACCO, DAMAGE OCCURS OVER TIME. HOWEVER, OVERDOSE CAN OCCUR IF MARIJUANA IS LACED WITH OTHER DRUGS.

MYTH: IF YOU SMOKED POT ON THE WEEKEND, YOU’D BE FINE ON MONDAY. FACT: THE EFFECTS OF MARIJUANA CAN LAST FOR UP TO 3 DAYS, WEEKS, OR MONTHS! IT DECREASES MEMORY, REFLEXES, AND COORDINATION.

FACTS -Marijuana smoke contains 50%-70% more cancer causing substances than tobacco smoke. - Prenatal cannabis use while pregnant may result in birth defects, mental abnormalities, and increased risk of leukemia in children.

FACTS -Youth year old who use marijuana are 85 times more likely to use cocaine thank kids who do not use pot - 60% of the kids who smoke pot before the age of 15 move on to cocaine.
