It’s about two kids trapped in a house on a rainy day with nothing to do. Suddenly this crazy character, the Cat in the Hat shows up and he gives them fun. Then things get out of hand when two creatures called Thing 1 and Thing 2 get loose. All appears to be doomed until the pet fish of the two children demands that the Cat in the Hat return everything to normal and never come back.

Dr. Seuss Continued But in the end, the fish realizes that all he did was help the kids have fun, and he DID clean up the mess he made. So in the end he forgave the Cat in the Hat and let him know he was welcomed back whenever he wanted. The book The Cat in the Hat was made into a feature length movie in 2003 starring Mike Meyers. It was number one for 5 weeks.
