 Strategic planning is a systematic process of envisioning a desired future and translating this vision into broadly defined goals or objectives in a sequence of steps to achieve them.

 A process of decisions made by an organization to set goals and to outline a course of actions to achieve those goals to grow the business and to help the business profitable

STEP 1. Get everyone on board  Make a list of stockholders  Why are they important?  What do they have at stake?  Which ones should be involved?  Which ones can you actually work with?

4 Stages in Career development of English Teachers  1. Starting out  2. Becoming experienced  3. New horizons: Professional Development  4. Passing on the knowledge To make a team, we should follow the next steps:

Step 1: Get everyone on board  Build team spirit  Involve everyone  Welcome input  Encourage participation  Promote collaboration  Make people accountable  Be fair  Build personal relationships

Step 2. Know yourself  Gather information Where do you currently stand?  Make a SWOT analysis S: Strengths W: Weaknesses O: Opportunities T: Threats

 Goal setting What do you want to achieve? Why? When?  Establish a timeline Work backwards and set milestones. Smart objectives. Lay out a plan

 Go beyond with teacher´s observation and supervision  What objectives? When and Who is in charge?  What kind of training are they going to receive?

Step 3: Empower and delegate  Assign duties  Who will be responsible for what? Empower people Will they need training? What resources will they need?

Make people accountable What are the consequences if someone doesn´t do the job? Why should they care?
