Welcome to Our World Cultures Classroom Treat others the way you would like to be treated Be on time and quiet down. Agenda must be completed/ signed before leaving class – take a pass and leave agenda. Borrow but return Do your best at all times.

At the Exchange of Class Gather all your supplies for class Line up quietly outside my door Don’t block the doorway Greetings at the door Enter when you are invited in the classroom

What to do at the start of class Enter quietly and go to seat Sharpen any pencils before the bell Read today’s agenda Check out the homework agenda board to make sure no changes have been made since Monday. Copy objective Complete bellwork

Homework Fold down the homework from the day before. Pass down new assignments that are on front persons desk. Homework will be checked daily. I use a 3 point system. We will start homework in class for that day. Signed assignments get you one extra day.

Homework Rubric All homework is worth points 3 points is the usual value. – 3pts. if it is completed – 2 pts. more effort an time is needed - ½ complete – 1 pt. less then half is complete If you are absent from school, and have brought in a note, you get that many days to complete the assignment.

Getting Help Use all your book parts to help Ask your buddy for guidance Raise your hand but continue working

Reading a Chapter Examine all pictures Read captions Read over the questions after each section Use the CD to help you Read the chapter Re-read your chapter and complete notes.
