DAY 11: EXCEL RAHUL KAVI SEPTEMBER 22,

THINGS TO REMEMBER Homework 3 due September 25 th. Exam 1 on September 29 th Tuesday. 2

THINGS TO REMEMBER Attempt all analysis questions (20% of the homework grade). Submit homework. Homework posted at the link.link Watch homework help live videos to get an idea. They are not the homework themselves. But they help you review. 3

THINGS TO REMEMBER Reason for picking that trend-line? Trend lines try to best fit historical data. Forward trend lines try to predict future. Avoid moving average trend lines (usually given in the instructions). See if trend line makes sense or not? For example: Population trend-line for a city might decrease, but not likely to go to zero (even though the R-Squared value is close to 1). 4

ANSWERS TO ANALYSIS QUESTIONS Homework 1 Homework 2 5

IN-CLASS PROJECT Everyone has to submit the in-class project (not one file per team, but one file per person). You may form groups if you need help or else do it by yourself. Download today’s in-class project and finish it. 6
