CHANGES TO THE CELEBRATION OF HOLY COMMUNION

Background The Holy Communion will now be conducted after the Sermon to form the climax of our worship service We will now come forward individually to the altar rail to receive the Holy Communion Having Holy Communion at the altar rails will enable each worshipper to respond to God; have some quiet moments before God and take the opportunity to come forward, approaching God personally to seek solace, forgiveness and give thanks.

Instructions for Youths & Parents Youths will join in worship from the beginning to the closing of the service Children Ministry will join in DURING the singing of the Communion hymn CM teachers will lead the children to the Sanctuary: –Pre-schoolers ( Toddlers to K2s ) will assemble at the entrance near Cosy Room –Primary1 to 6 will be at the glass door entrance Parents are advised to receive their children at these two points during the singing of the Communion hymn

Instructions for Worshippers Please follow the instructions and directions of the ushers Do come forward by way of the centre aisle and return to your seats by the left and right aisles Maintain an attitude of worship and reverence before God during and after receiving the Holy Communion Examine and reflect on our lives before God when we come to receive His grace, love and forgiveness Be reminded that the whole worship service will only end with the pronouncement of the Benediction and the Choral Response

CHANGES TO THE CELEBRATION OF HOLY COMMUNION The Flow

There are 2 rows of altar rails on each side of the sanctuary altar rails

Worshippers in the back rows will be the first to come to the altar rails

Proceed to the front in 2 columns via the center aisle

Proceed to kneel at any row on the cushions provided

You may partake the Holy Communion immediately when served

When the altar rails are full, do wait for your turn reverently

Pastor will pray a word of blessing

Return to your seats. Those in the queue come forward to kneel.

Return to your seats via the side aisles (sound booth)

Return to your seats via the side aisles (choir side)

Continue to maintain an attitude of reverence

Do deposit the cups in the bins at the side aisles

Have a blessed Holy Communion
