 The MTA Arts for Transit commissions public art for subway stations. The projects reflect the history and feel of the neighborhoods the stations serve.

 The site will contain collections based on the main materials used in the artwork :  Mosaic  Ceramic  Tile  Bronze  Steel  Faceted glass  The items will be still digital images of the artwork  There will be approximately 20 items

 Dublin Core fields:  Title - name of the artwork  Description of the artwork and medium  Creator – artist’s name  Date the image was taken  Source - subway station  Plugin - Geolocation  Item-type specific fields:  Original format  Physical dimensions of image

 Tags and the plugin will help the user find the artwork they would like to see:  Tags  Borough  Subway lines running through the station  Geolocation plugin  Adds maps and more specific location details to each item
