Important!  Write down the address and password you used to register.  You will need your address and password to log in next time.

 This is a pre-test to see what you already know.  You will take this assessment at the end to see how much you have learned.  Just relax and answer the questions honestly.

 These questions help you to think about the question before you answer.  Then you read the material and add to your answer.  Purpose:  Reading comprehension  Engagement

 Are an opportunity to think about the material and apply it to your personal life.  Become part of your portfolio  Can be viewed by your instructor  Must be finished before advancing to the next page  Are generally a well-developed paragraph Don’t answer with just a phrase!

 Read the chapters carefully so you can answer the quiz questions.  You can go back and find the answer before you mark your quiz.  You cannot change your answers on the quizzes after you press the Submit button.  You get immediate feedback on the answers.  Your quiz results are part of your portfolio which your instructor can see and grade.

 Get a discount by paying online.  You can use your financial aid voucher in the bookstore to purchase an access code to use instead of a credit card. The bookstore charges more. (Insert the price of CollegeScope at your college.)

 Find a time when you are not tired or rushed.  There are no right or wrong answers.  Answer quickly giving your first impression. Do not over analyze.  You will have a chance to look at your profile and change it if you think it is not correct.

 Answer the questions honestly to get the best results.  Answer the questions how you usually are when you are not stressed.  Do not answer the questions:  How you want to be  How you have to be at home, work or school  How others want you to be

 The test does not measure:  Intelligence  Psychological or emotional health

 Has with 2 assessments  Productivity Environmental Preference Survey (PEPS)  Multiple Intelligences Advantage (MI Advantage)

 Measures preferences in 20 areas

 Give your initial response.  Answer quickly, but carefully.  No need to over analyze.  Answer as though you were learning new or difficult information.

 It is not a test  It describes how you prefer to learn new or difficult material  Usually there are 6 or 7 areas out of 20 that are important for an individual

Go to your portfolio and view your report.

 The assessment takes approximately 15 minutes.  The purpose of this assessment is to identify your personal strengths and matching majors.

 Answer the questions honestly.  Avoid answering with what you think you should say or what you want to be true.  Take the assessment when you are well rested and have time to complete it.  There are no right or wrong or good or bad answers. Each person has a unique intelligence profile.  Answer with what comes to mind first; do not overanalyze your answers

Register Only One Time Students register only once. They they log in with the address and the password they created.

 Your professor can find the address you used to create your account by looking at their portfolio on My Students or All Students in the instructor account.

 Check the forgot password link for a reminder.  Your professor can look at the Student Portfolio and reset the password.

 You must finish everything on the page to continue to the next page.  quiz questions (Press Submit for score)  all activities  mindsets  Journal entries  If you forget, you are reminded at the bottom of the page.

 Students try to log into the instructor account. Make sure that you have /ccs/ in the URL   Don’t use Google to find CollegeScope. You may end up in a different college account.

 If the already exists, you have already registered. Log in with the address and password you created when you registered the first time.

There are several reasons for this: You are using a different . You entered the info incorrectly. You have not registered.

 If you have any problem you cannot resolve. This does not happen very often.
