A Framework for Stakeholder Involvement Leading by Convening Ensuring Relevant Participation Coalescing around Issues Doing the Work Together

Key Participants Key Advisors Extended Partners Feedback Network Core Team Dissemination Web Communications Links Community of Practice Levels of Participation Convene the group. Take responsibility for structuring each convening and follow up. Plan and monitor interaction. Create engagement strategies. Organize activities. Communicate with decision makers. Oversee review and evaluation. Act as regular contacts for information on the issue. Give advice and help the core team sense issues and adapt activities in a variety of contexts. Make opportunities for the work to be reviewed within their personal networks. Bring their personal network information back into the work of the Core group. Promote the cross-stakeholder approach to problem identification and problem solving. Join the core team periodically when their expertise is needed Volunteer to become involved and represent the perspective of their organization and/or network. Bring the perspective of their role and/or organization into the work. Bring important learnings back to their networks. Identify opportunities within their networks to showcase the learning. The Aligning Efforts & Integrated Support project is aimed at leveraging and coordinating the expertise of the Arizona Department of Education to support and empower districts and schools as they work to dramatically improve student achievement. Aligning Efforts COP Decision makers, authority to make commitments Align and cross-walk the efforts, responsibilities and requirements of units/sections/divisions Focus on “BIG ROCKS” – Streamline reporting duplication – Leverage grants – Develop a “common language” Provide support and oversight to Integrated Support initiative Meets on a monthly basis Communiques are circulated to Integrated Support COP and Teams, other units, and leadership Aligning Efforts COP

Integrated Support COP Comprised of decision makers and area specialists Identify appropriate personnel for Integrated Support Teams Develop and implement roll out of Integrated Support initiative with pilot districts Develop the Integrated Support Teams’ structure: action plans, protocols, etc. Meet on an ad hoc basis, but at least once a month Provide communiques to Aligning Efforts COP Integrated Support COP

Integrated Support Teams Comprised of area specialist within the department to partner with LEAs/schools to leverage expertise to provide more cohesive support Collect & analyze relevant data (e.g., student achievement, demographics, systems analysis, monitoring compliance, funding, perceptual data) Identify unique needs, challenges and strengths Create and implement action plans in collaboration with LEAs/schools to meet identified needs Meet on an ad hoc basis, but at least once a month Communiques circulated to Integrated Support COP, Aligning Efforts COP, and LEAs/schools Integrated Support Team
