CAREER EXPLORATION Lesson Plan Design

Students will use websites : to explore personal interests to identify three career opportunities. This is a cumulative lesson design will be presented in three phases. The Lesson may extend into four to six weeks based upon individual student skills, accessibility to technology devices, and scheduled class time. Introduction:  Statement of lesson objective  Review student story and discussion Differentiated Instruction:  With a partner will answer 10 questions to gain insight into personal aptitude  Partners will record responses and exchange Independent Search:  Use inventory responses to research three career options  Write paragraph about each career highlighting likes and dislikes  Emphasize components of careers previously unknown  Chose one of the three careers for lesson 2.
