BD ProbeTec™ ET System High Throughput – 552 test results per 8-hour shift Excellent reliability Only 1 moving part MTBF of over 2 Years Simultaneous amplification and detection Closed, solid barrier amplification reaction system Isothermal Low maintenance Efficient workflow LIS capable 1

Dry lyophilized reagents Room temperature storage BD ProbeTec™ Reagents Dry lyophilized reagents Room temperature storage 96-well microtiter plate format 2

BD ProbeTec™ ET System The only “CLOSED, SOLID BARRIER” amplification reaction system on the market Solid (plastic seal) barrier to amplicon contamination Never opened or accessed after the start of amplification 3

Instrumentation and Footprint BD ProbeTec™ ET System 10 - 13 feet total linear footprint* * 13 feet with the CA6000 Centrifuge. 4

Workflow Overview 2.5 – 3 hours total time. Sample preparation. Specimens are incubated for lysis for 30 minutes. Specimens are cooled for 15 minutes. 150 µL of lysed specimen is added to the Priming plate to reconstitute reagents and then incubates for 20 minutes. 2.5 – 3 hours total time. Shortest and easiest procedure on the market Priming plate is incubated with the Amplification plate for 10 minutes (hot start). 100 µL is transferred from the Priming plate to the Amplification plate. Plate sealer is placed onto the Amplification plate. Sealed plate is placed in the BD ProbeTec™ instrument. Results are available in 60 minutes. 5

BD ProbeTec™ ET Pipettor 8 samples at a time Programmable – touch of a button Performs aspiration & dispense steps Re-chargeable Uses aerosol resistant tips with filter 6
