Georgia Performance Standards S1E1. Students will observe, measure, and communicate weather data to see patterns in weather and climate. Identify different types of weather and the characteristics of each type. Investigate weather by observing, measuring with simple weather instruments (thermometer, wind vane, rain gauge), and recording weather data (temperature, precipitation, sky conditions, and weather events) in a periodic journal or on a calendar seasonally. Keep going!

Weather Characteristics SunnyStormy BrightRainy Warm Thunder and Lightning Cloudy Follow me and we will learn more!

What are the sky conditions? Sky Sun WarmBright Storms RainyWindyLightning Help!

Keeping Track of the Weather Week 1 Week 2 MondaySunnyMondayRainy TuesdaySunnyTuesdayCloudy WednesdayCloudyWednesdaySunny ThursdayStormyThursdaySunny FridayRainyFridaySunny For two weeks, we kept charts of our daily weather. Look at the tables below to see our data. We also graphed our information, which you can see by clicking on the yellow button below.

Extension For further weather fun, you can go to the Enchanted Learning website by clicking on the following link: This site has many interactive activities that are very kid-friendly! Have fun exploring! One more page!

Extension If you want to hear some cool thunder, click on the megaphone below! Use describing words to tell us what you hear! Click on the stormy picture below and watch what happens! Write a story about what you see! Wow! So cool! Awesome dude!
