Accountability and responsibility Responsibility for schools in the MAT is held by the MAT Board Board is accountable to the Secretary of State for the funding agreement and standards Delegated responsibility to local governing bodies

Financial responsibilities Company limited by guarantee Ultimately responsible for stewardship of funds Delegate budget to schools/top-slicing Board must have the skills, knowledge and experience to run the academy trust
