For the Next Four Years. By: Maria Merlos & Stephany Cervantes

When Tiffany started high school the only thing she was worried about was making tons of friends. She wasn’t aware of the impact the next four years would have on the rest of her life. Ninth grade

Ninth Grade Alexander gets into high school prepared for all classes and knows how important school is for his future. He is also worried about starting a new school and making new friends.

Tenth Grade Tiffany had met a lot of people in 9 th grade, but she really enjoyed being with a group of people who felt the same way she did about school. Soon she found her self going out with friends instead of making time for school work.

Tenth Grade Alexander is a pretty smart boy. He meets people like him that enjoy school and know the importance of it. He joins clubs because he wants to be involved in more than just academics, but he still puts school priorities first. He begins thinking about his future.

Eleventh Grade By eleventh grade she becomes discouraged and lazy because she sees no point in trying in school since she already messed up her first two years of high school. Her grades are now even lower than the previous years.

Eleventh Grade Alexander's grades are really good and his test scores are high. He begins thinking about what he will study after he graduates. He also starts applying to scholarships early.

Twelfth Grade Once she’s done with her junior year, she finally realizes that school does matter. She takes summer school that year and her schedule is filled up with classes that she needs to make up in order to graduate.

Twelfth Grade Alex has all his credits and his grades are excellent. Senior year goes great for him and he enjoys all the fun activities with his friends. He graduates and gets accepted to the university of his choice and receives a full scholarship.

After Graduation Even though Tiffany did graduate along with Alexander, she struggled to catch up with her school work in the end. She regretted not understanding the importance of school earlier than she did. On the other hand Alexander worked hard throughout the four years and got to enjoy his senior year. He was glad that he had himself together from the beginning.
