A Taste of Knowledge Lunch and Learn Seminar: Challenges of Dynamic Complexity ©Systems Wisdom LLC 2015

Welcome and Overview  Welcome and introductions  Sponsors, instructors, and participants  Intentions of program  Learn what is needed to deal with the challenges of dynamic complexity.  Provide guidance on why to make the right decisions one much have the proper approaches to learning, knowledge of critical concepts, and knowledge of enabling IT.  Expectations of participants  What do you hope to gain by attending?

Proficiency to Navigate Complexity is an Art

About Dynamic Complexity  Each state of dynamic complexity is unique and requires unique responses. A standardized checklist, algorithm or preformed set of procedures or processes is inadequate.  Proficiency to generate those responses and navigate dynamic complexity is an art, an expression of creative competencies and imagination, based on rapid integration and deployment of a portfolio of competences and capacities.

What You Will Learn  Suddenly emerging events can co-produce disruptions in day- to-day operations. Worse, when leaders become acutely aware of the threats, some may not have the cognitive capacity to effectively address them.  You will learn:  A new framework for operating in diverse and often complex organizational contexts each of which requires a different approach to planning, management, leadership and decision-making  How to avoid solving the wrong problem  About new tools to improve pattern recognition to avoid “strategic blindness” and to increase understanding of the current operating environment
