Pythagoras

Pythagoras was a Greek mathematician in 500’s BC. He spent most of his life in Greek colonies in Sicily and southern Italy. He wore simple clothing and he and his group of followers didn’t eat beans because they believed them to be not to be pure enough. They wore their hair long and they also went around barefoot and both men and women were Pythagoreans. Pythagoreans were interested in three different things that are philosophy, music and mathematics, two or more ways of making order of chaos. Pythagoras’ was best known for proving the theorem to be true.

The Pythagoras theorem is useful because it makes it easier to figure out the area and the length of a right angled triangle. They say that two right angled triangles will be the same as the square of the hypotenuse and by using this theorem it can make it makes it simpler to use it when you need to use a right angled triangle and you need it to be an even number or if someone wanted it to be an odd number because they are using right angled triangles to build something or just roughly put it together.

You could use the theorem when you are going to make a small house of some sort and u wanted to use some right angled triangle and it had to be a certain size or if u were just going to build something while using a right angled triangle and you wanted to learn the area and the length of each side and if it had two sides that told you how long it was and you wanted to figure out what the third side of the triangle and then by doing this you can also find out the length and the width of a right angle triangle. You use the theorem when you playing a sport like golf and you want to get it in the hole you need to figure out the distance to the hole it is from where you are. You can also use it when you are making a running track and you wanted to figure how long to make it and or how far you want it to be and the theorem can also be used when you are playing pool and you need to hit the ball a certain way to get it into, the pocket without hitting it further away from any of the other pockets.
